The Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Meets with the Coordinator of the Sub-Regional Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations for the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries and Yemen

HE Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, met with Dr. Kayan Akram Jaff, coordinator of the sub-regional office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations for the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries and Yemen and representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) during his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, where they discussed a number of common interest issues.

The Minister welcomed the coordinator and representative of FAO, praising the efforts made by the office to support agricultural development plans in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Yemen expressing his aspiration to increase coordination and cooperation between the ministry and the office in all related matters.

During the meeting, the Minister was also briefed on the office’s activities and efforts to develop the agricultural sector, in addition to the research and studies carried out by the office and the possibility of benefiting from them.

In turn, the coordinator and representative of FAO, reviewed the multiple projects implemented by the office in various Arab countries, stressing the readiness of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations to enhance cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain in various fields.
