The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, represented by the Building Permit Control Section (Benayat System), is participating in the Innovation in Social Housing Conference and Exhibition, held under the esteemed patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre from 23 to 25 April 2025.
The participation of the "Benayat" system constitutes a significant step towards promoting innovation within the construction sector and providing smart, efficient technological solutions that serve both citizens and investors. This initiative reflects the Ministry’s commitment to fostering a sustainable housing environment that meets the evolving needs of society. It also forms part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to advance digital transformation and adopt innovative practices, as the system offers integrated electronic services that expedite permit issuance procedures, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce the time required to process transactions.
The Ministry’s pavilion at the exhibition showcases the system’s key features and the procedures for its use by licensed engineering offices, property owners, heirs, or their authorized representatives when submitting applications. Furthermore, the system’s interactive map functionality enables users to view specific building regulations for each plot, thereby facilitating the accurate and efficient preparation of architectural drawings and plans.
In this regard, the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to providing immediate technical support to meet the needs of citizens and developers. The Ministry also called upon all homeowners within housing projects to ensure that they obtain the necessary permits prior to undertaking any additions or modifications to their housing units, in order to safeguard construction quality, ensure structural safety, and preserve the cohesive urban fabric of residential communities.
The Ministry’s pavilion witnessed significant engagement from exhibition visitors, where the dedicated team provided comprehensive explanations regarding the system’s functions and demonstrated its advantages in streamlining and expediting procedures.
