The customs officer shall reserve the consignment received with the traveler for presentation to the inspector.
2. Customs shall address the inspector.
3. The inspector shall inspect the consignment and ensure compliance with the quarantine requirements.
4. In case the consignment conforms to the quarantine requirements, he shall issue the permit
5- In case the consignment violates the requirements of the agricultural quarantine, by handing it over to the Plant Protection and Detention Department in Al-Badeea to apply the quarantine procedures on it (treatment / re-export / execution).
6. The consignment shall be deemed to violate the requirements of agricultural quarantine in the following cases:
- The consignment contains more than (5) plants or (5) kilograms of non-agricultural seeds. Or more than (500) gm of seeds
- The mission contains natural soil.
- The consignment contains an item prohibited to import (palm of all kinds - olive trees - hemp seeds - poppy seeds)

1- Is it necessary to obtain an import license for any amount of plants and plant products that accompany travelers?
Answer: Some shipments are exempt from the requirement of obtaining a prior import license (not exempted from inspection) in the following cases:
• Shipments accompanying passengers, for personal use within the limits of (5) plants or (5) kilograms provided that the question is not to the law and regulations and quarantine decisions
• Shipments received for diplomatic missions and consulates within (15) plants or (15) kilograms, provided that they do not include materials or plants subject to prohibitions or prohibitions.
• Shipments received for scientific research within 15 plants or 15 kg.
• Agricultural specimens contained in parcels weighing not more than (5) kilograms for plants and flowers and within (500) grams for seeds.
2- If I want to take plants with me from Bahrain abroad, can I get a quarantine certificate?
Answer: Attendance is made to the agricultural quarantine department in Budaiya with the plants or plant products to be issued an agricultural certificate.
3-If the mission is in violation of the quarantine requirements, can it be returned to its origin instead of being executed?
Answer: The traveler has the right to re-export the consignment for which he refused
