"Municipalities" Organizes First-Aid Workshop

The Training and Development Section at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture organized a first aid workshop for several of its employees in collaboration with the General Directorate of Civil Defense.

The workshop highlighted the important role of paramedics and first responders in cases of emergency. The workshop tackled issues relating to first aid and how to respond in cases of medical emergencies.

Trainer Corporal Ibrahim Shaheen from the General Directorate of Civil Defense spoke about the definition of first aid, its objectives and importance, the contents of the first-aid kit, and how to provide first-aid for cases such as cardio and pulmonary resuscitations, heart attacks, various types of bites, joint sprains, bruises, choking, and scratches. Corporal Ibrahim also discussed the necessary examinations to follow, rules of conduct in case of emergencies, and the steps for primary medical resuscitation. The general rules of first aid were also reviewed during the workshop.

The first aid workshop is part of an awareness campaign intended to train ministry employees in matters relating to health and safety. It aims to develop employee skills and abilities in handling emergencies and providing correct first aid help until specialized medical care is received.

It is important to note that these activities are part of the Ministry’s efforts to cooperate with other government agencies to spread health awareness and enhance public safety.
