The “Municipalities” Organize a First-Aid Workshop in Collaboration with the General Directorate of Civil Defense
A First-Aid workshop was organized by the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture for several of its employees through the Ministry’s Training and Development section in collaboration with the General Directorate of Civil Defense.
The workshop highlighted the important role of paramedics and first responders in cases of emergency. The workshop tackled issues relating to first aid and how to respond in cases of medical emergencies.
Trainer Jasim Al-Ghanem from the General Directorate of Civil Defense spoke about the definition of First-Aid, its objectives and importance, the contents of the First-Aid Kit, and how to provide First-Aid for cases such as cardio and pulmonary resuscitations, heart attacks, various types of bites, joint sprains, bruises, choking, and scratches. Al-Ghanem also discussed the necessary examinations to follow, rules of conduct in emergencies, and the steps for primary medical resuscitation. The workshop also reviewed the general rules of First-Aid.
The First-Aid workshop is part of an awareness campaign intended to train ministry employees in matters relating to health and safety. It aims to develop employee skills and abilities in handling emergencies and providing correct First-Aid help until specialized medical care is received.
