Bahraini Farmers Market Concludes 11th Edition with Over 230,000 Visitors
His Excellency Engineer Wael Bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, reaffirmed the ministry's unwavering commitment to supporting Bahraini farmers and their endeavors to adopt modern agricultural techniques, enhance their production capabilities, and effectively market their products. This commitment aligns with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to strengthen food security and investment in the agricultural sector, a priority that receives continuous attention from the government, led by His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The minister highlighted the remarkable success of the 11th edition of the Farmers Market under the slogan “Local Product Champions”, which attracted a remarkable turnout of approximately 230,267 visitors, including Bahrainis, residents, and guests from neighboring and friendly countries.
HE commended the unwavering support provided by the National Initiative for the Development of the Agricultural Sector, chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women. HE also praised the success of the 12 weeklong market, emphasizing its role as a crucial platform for marketing local product and promoting Bahraini farmers.
On the other hand, the minister expressed his gratitude to STC Bahrain for its continuous support in developing the market's infrastructure and its sponsorship of the Bahrain Farmers Market for four consecutive seasons. He commended the contributions of government entities and private sector institutions in supporting the market's activities, reflecting the collective belief in the importance of community partnerships to foster these events. These initiatives play a pivotal role in driving economic development in the Kingdom. The minister concluded by extending his appreciation to the organizers and participating farmers for their efforts in ensuring the market's success.

The concluding week of the Bahraini Farmers Market witnessed a lineup of special activities coinciding with the approaching holy month of Ramadan. These activities included offering an abundance of local agricultural products commonly consumed during Ramadan, alongside the participation of productive families and artisans.
