About the project
The project of installing water meters in its first and second phases was completed in 2003, where about 1,550 water meters were installed, installed on about 1,175 water wells, which in total constituted about 84% of the total wells. This project aims to monitor the consumption of groundwater, and lay the foundations and scenarios for imposing an upward tariff on its uses for the purposes of agriculture, industry and tourism.
