Description

This service allows veterinary pharmacies and warehouses to obtain permits to import or export veterinary medicines, devices, and medical tools in accordance with Law No. 17 of the year  2014, which approves the Veterinary Medical Professions Law (System) for GCC countries, the Executive Regulation issued by Decision No. 36 of the year 2020, Law No. 19 of the year 2014 approving the Veterinary Pharmaceuticals Law (System) for GCC countries, and the Executive Regulation issued by Decision No. 35 of  the year 2020. These procedures are also in line with the applicable laws, executive regulations, and procedural guidelines for veterinary establishments in the GCC.

Service Procedures and Steps
1. Application Submission
Submit the application through the (Ofoq) system.

2. Document Review
Application documents will be reviewed.

3. Fulfill Requirements
Complete the necessary requirements for the permit.

4. Payment of Fees
Pay the required fees to issue the permit.

5. Permit Issuance
Issuance of the veterinary pharmaceutical import/export permit.
The required documents
As outlined in the guidance manual for the Permit Issuance for Import/Export of Veterinary Pharmaceuticals QW.AH.200/2024/V.02:

1. Permit Application Form QF.AH.20

2. Letter from the establishment detailing all the information of the required products.

3. Product registration certificate from one of the GCC countries or two reference countries, or a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certificate or certificate of manufacture from reference countries.

4. Product's approved leaflet or prescription from the manufacturer.

5. Certified product analysis certificate.
Service fee
1. 1 BHD / per item.
2. 10 BHD / for the paper permit.
Terms and Conditions
1. Import and export permits are granted only to veterinary establishments licensed by the Animal Health Directorate.

2. All documents and information approved by the relevant authority must be kept for a minimum period of 3 years.

3. The responsible veterinarian/pharmacist at the veterinary establishment is required to submit the monthly reports to the directorate.

4. Compliance with laws, decisions, and circulars issued by the relevant authority is mandatory.

5. All permit applications must be submitted through the electronic system of the Ministry of Interior's platform / Unified Customs Window (Ofoq) only.

6. All attached documents must be in Arabic / English / or translated by an accredited office.

7. Any application that does not meet the necessary documents and licensing requirements will be rejected.

8. Adherence to the requirements and conditions of other relevant authorities regarding clearance is mandatory.
