Description

This service allows citizens of GCC countries and residents to apply for licenses to practice specialized or technical veterinary medical professions in licensed veterinary medical establishments, farms, and registered private stables, based on the qualifications and requirements for each profession. This is in accordance with Law No. (17) of the year 2014 approving the Veterinary Medical Professions Law (System) for GCC countries, the Executive Regulation issued by Decision No. (36) of the year 2020, and the relevant laws, executive regulations, and procedural guidelines followed in GCC countries.

Qualification Verification:

The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture has partnered with accredited companies to issue verification reports that confirm the authenticity of qualifications submitted for veterinary medical practice licenses for specialized and technical professionals. This service facilitates the provision of necessary documents for licensing.

Service Procedures and Steps
For GCC Citizens:

1. Application Submission
Application submission through the listed communication channels.

2. Document Review
Submitted documents will be reviewed accordingly.

3. Preliminary Approval
Preliminary approval will be granted from the subcommittee.

4. Final Approval
Final approval will be granted from the Licensing Committee.

5. Payment of Fees
Pay the required fees for the license issuance.

6. License Issuance
Issuance of the Veterinary Medical Professional Practice License valid for up to 5 years.


For Non-GCC Citizens:

1. Application Submission
Application submission through the listed communication channels.

2. Document Review
Submitted documents will be reviewed accordingly.

3. Assessment and Personal Interview
Applicants will be subjected to theoretical testing and a personal interview.

4. Final Approval
Final approval will be granted from the Licensing Committee.

5. Payment of Fees
Pay the required fees for the license issuance.

6. License Issuance
Issuance of the Veterinary Medical Professional Practice License valid for up to 2 years.

Application Submission:

When submitting a license application for veterinary medical practice, the following must be considered:

1. All documents should be submitted in a single PDF file.

2. All documents must be scanned clearly at a high resolution.

3. The personal photo must have a white background and be of high resolution.

4. All personal details of the applicant should be included in the letter submitted for the license request.

5. The employment or local transfer letter should be directed to the Animal Health Department.

6. A veterinary practice license renewal request should be submitted at least one month before the expiration date.

7. The application form for the veterinary professional practice license must be filled out electronically; handwritten forms will be rejected.

8. Any request that does not meet the required documents and conditions will be rejected, and a new application must be submitted.

Administrative Rules:

1. No veterinary medical profession may be practiced without a license from the designated authority.

2. Veterinary medical practice licenses are only granted to veterinary establishments licensed by the Animal Health Directorate.

3. If residing outside the Kingdom of Bahrain, a criminal record certificate should be obtained from the country of residence.

4. The designated authority must be immediately and officially informed if veterinary professionals' services are terminated.

5. Veterinary professionals are prohibited from working in more than one veterinary establishment.

6. Veterinary professionals are prohibited from transferring to another establishment without the approval of the designated authority.

7. Compliance with laws, decisions, and directives issued by the designated authority is required.

8. Veterinary doctors working in veterinary pharmacies, warehouses, laboratories, and scientific offices are prohibited from providing veterinary treatment, examination, or diagnosis.
