Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture: The Bahrain International Garden Show Enhances the Kingdom's Efforts to Achieve Environmental Sustainability

His Excellency Engineer Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, praised the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, for the Bahrain International Garden Show 2025. He emphasized that this patronage supports and enhances the Kingdom of Bahrain's agricultural sector while promoting environmental sustainability through strategic projects adopted by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Minister Al-Mubarak also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and Chairperson of the Advisory Council for the National Initiative for Agricultural Development, for graciously inaugurating the Bahrain International Garden Show 2025 and for her ongoing dedication to afforestation initiatives and the agricultural sector. This support reinforces the ministry’s efforts in this area and enhances its performance on various levels.
The Minister emphasized the significance of the Bahrain International Garden Show in enhancing Bahrain’s garden and public facilities system, promoting afforestation and beautification initiatives, and strengthening the agricultural sector. He also highlighted the event's role as a vital platform for exchanging ideas, experiences, and best practices.
In line with this year's exhibition theme, which promotes creativity and the presentation of ideas that contribute to the development of the agricultural and gardening sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture's pavilion focuses on promoting agricultural awareness, strengthening the culture of environmental sustainability, and showcasing key achievements and initiatives implemented to support the agricultural sector. It also encourages modern farming by introducing innovative solutions, such as vertical farming, farming with artificial lighting, and adopting advanced hydroponic systems. Additionally, the pavilion features an informative section about the "Mangrove Bahrain" initiative.
